consisting of 164 pages with 124 colour
offset reproductions, and 25 black & white
reproductions. Included are six 5-colour screenprints,
five two colour screenprints, one 3-colour screenprint.
The double front page at the beginning and the end are
1-colour screenprints on black cardboard, the inside
and outside front and back covers are 2- colour
screenprints on 400gr 'Werkdruck' printing paper.
All screenprints have been hand printed by the artist
and the cover has been hand painted and paisted by
the artist.
Promotion: The book was released on the 15 of April 1995 with
a book release exhibition, entitled 'Pathologische
Aspekte der Gegenwartskunst' ('Pathological Aspects
of Contemporary Art') at the Unwahr Gallery, Berlin.
In June 1995 the book was shown as part of the
Irish contribution to the Venice Biennale, together
with the work of the Irish painter Shane Cullen, who
is one of the books contributors with 'A Letter to John
Heartfield', a joint project with Stephan Hausmeister.
This project consisted of publishing a forged letter
(supposedly written to John Heartfield out of a German
Concentration Camp) in Cirka Art Magazine, No. 63,
Belfast, May 1993. The actual text was a 1980's
communication out of the infamous Maze prison
(H-Blocks) by IRA hunger-strikers to their army
head quarters.
In October '95 the book was represented on two
stands at the 47th International Frankfurt Book Fair:
